Root Canal
Tooth decay, trauma or cracks can cause
the nerves of teeth to die. When this occurs
your tooth can often still be saved with
root canal therapy. Severe pain, swelling,
sensitivity to cold or hot, or a darkening
tooth are signs that a root canal exists.
Dentists must use x-rays to confirm proper
treatment. Your root can be done under sedation
if you are apprehensive about the procedure,
or you have been uncomforable at the dentist
in the past. During root canal treatment,
the dentist cleans out the infected nerve
area within the roots. After all the nerve
has been removed, the root canal are sealed
to prevent a future root canal infection.
In most cases, your patients experience
little pain. All patients are given pain
relivers however, to minimize any discomfort.
Teeth treated and root canal to be restored
immediatly. If much tooth structure is missing,
the tooth requires build-up with a port
prior to the crowns / preparation and subsequent
cavity of the crown.
